Edgewater Hotel Seattle

Seattle Hotels > Hotel Edgewater Seattle

Seattle’s only waterfront hotel, with dramatic views of Elliott Bay, the Olympic Mountains and the downtown skyline, and a location right on Pier 67 at the city’s dynamic doorstep.

Hotel Review of the Edgewater Hotel Seattle

August 2013
OK, this is an older Seattle hotel. Yeah, it is unique in that it is the only waterfront hotel in Seattle. got it. But there are some notes:

if you go, DO NOT settle for rooms facing the city--no one tells you about the TRAIN--ALL. . . DAY . . . LONG! Very Loud. So don't even try to get this room and sleep with the window open--forget it! it was awful.

As for the water facing rooms--kinda weird in that they are RIGHT OVER the water--like you are staying on a house boat. Kinda cool, but kinda not! We woke up Saturday morning to find a Cruise Ship parked just feet outside our window--not exagerating.

Being over the water, in this older hotel, there is a lingering kind of "musty" smell through out--at least the lower levels. I'm just saying. be aware.

Some positive notes: Great views of the city from the 4th floor bar and AWESOME views of the bay / Sound from the 4th floor conference room. Food for the conference left a bit to be desired, but overall, good.

FUN interior design, but I question the use of BRIGHT RED paint for the guestrooms--not exactly soothing, relaxing stay.

Again, beware of the train!  .. more > 2 > 3 > 4 > 5
